About the Author

Benjamin Vogt is the owner of Monarch Gardens LLC, a prairie-inspired design firm that creates natural landscapes for homeowners, businesses, and schools. His work has appeared in The American GardenerDwellFine GardeningThe GuardianHorticultureMidwest Living, The Wall Street Journaland in the book American Roots. Benjamin is the author of A New Garden Ethic: Cultivating Defiant Compassion for an Uncertain Future. He has a PhD from the University of Nebraska, an MFA from The Ohio State University, and a BFA from the University of Evansville.
