A boxed set of 8 beautiful cards from the iconic illustrations by Wladyslaw T. Benda (1873-1948) that appear in the original edition of My Ántonia. Eight blank cards, with white envelopes.
Benda was a painter, illustrator, and costume designer from Poland. When Willa Cather published My Ántonia in 1918, she recruited Benda for eight distinctive pen-and-ink illustrations. Six of these eight are held in the National Willa Cather Center Collections, some bearing personal inscriptions from Cather to her friends.
